POST-PRISON PROGRAMMES
Distributing via AWAL and The Orchard, we provide the expertise and support that artists need to develop their music careers. Our mentors - professionals within the justice system and the music industry - continually guide artists through songwriting, recording, performance and release. IHR studios are also used as a community hub which encourage graduates to stay on track to a life out of prison.
Standout Artists (SOAs)
By offering free studio time (Bromley-By-Bow, Brighton) to all graduates of the InHouse Records course, we help artists continue developing their music after prison. InHouse Records gives these 'Standout Artists' the chance not only to record and release music, but also to perform at key London music venues, allowing them to constantly develop their careers as artists.
Breaking the Record (BtR)
Working with key organisations such as Goons4God, The Southbank Centre, Prison Radio Association, EY Outreach and Barnardo's, Breaking the Record is a 4-month programme that offers participants free access to Pirate music studios for recording, songwriting, rehearsal etc. IHR professionals, who also work as independent musicians and producers, offer free production, advice in musicianship and industry, and lessons in songwriting and instruments. BtR aims to offer members the resources needed to carve out their artist careers. Artists then have the chance to sign to and release music with InHouse Records, and to perform in UK-wide music venues.
